Moa Anbessa (party)

Moa Anbessa (The Conquering Lion), is a political party made up of Ethiopians for a Constitutional Monarchy. It was created by the exiled titular Emperor Amha Selassie I to operate as the political wing of the Crown. Later, disputes among the membership and questions about its accounting practices caused the Imperial family to cut ties with the party. It is registered as a political party in Ethiopia. Due to the decision by the Imperial family to follow a strictly non-political role, and the severing of ties between the party and the Imperial family, the Moa Anbessa Party is not as active as it once was.
